Bob Kuntz studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, Contemporary Art Workshop, Chicago, and Indiana University at South Bend. He was employed as a sculpture instructor at St. Mary's College at Notre Dame and at Goshen College, and currently owns and manages Model Tech Display Studio in South Bend. "When creating a piece of art, I work directly in the wood, steel or other material, usually without a drawing or even a preconceived idea of the finished sculpture." His commissioned works include "Trilithon," a steel sculpture for the City of South Bend, located near Morris Civic Auditorium; "Volatus Aquitae" (eagle in flight), stainless steel, for the City of Mishawaka, located at River Walk park; and a 9/11 memorial of steel, "Standing Tall," located in St. Patrick's County Park, South Bend. Kuntz has exhibited at many local galleries.
