Fire Arts is pleased to be part of Handwork: Celebrating American Craft 2026, a nationwide Semiquincentennial initiative developed by Craft in America to showcase the importance of the handmade, both throughout our history and in contemporary life.
Handwork 2026 will be a year-long collaboration among organizations, educators, and makers to celebrate the diversity of the crafts that define America, bringing compelling stories and underrepresented art and artists into the spotlight. This will include four Craft in America episodes on PBS (EAST, WEST, NORTH & SOUTH), a Handwork book published by Phaidon, an exhibition at the Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery opening in November, a social media campaign, events/exhibitions from nearly 300 participants and partners, and more!
